I’m “behind” in my reading plan. What should I do?
First, we believe you’re never “behind” when it comes to reading your Bible‚ you’re exactly where God has you!
If you miss a few (or many!) days, we recommend just picking up where you left off, rather than jumping ahead to wherever we may be at in the reading plan.
This may mean you’ll finish later than you expected, but the important part about reading the Bible all the way through chronologically is getting the full picture—the entire metanarrative—of Scripture. You'll definitely miss out if you skip ahead. If you’re listening to the podcast, you can set your podcast to play in sequential order, so you're playing from where you left off (can do a web search on how to do this).
Reading through the whole Bible isn’t about checking something off your list—the point is to read, understand, and love the Bible and the God who wrote it more!
