I’m reading the Bible with kids. How do I handle the difficult passages in the Bible?

The Bible covers many difficult topics (death, murder, rape, incest, adultery, demons, etc.). At TBR, we never want to censor Scripture, and we are also committed to talking about the Bible in age-appropriate ways. In the daily recaps, we handle challenging topics as faithfully and carefully as we can. Here’s an example. If adultery is a topic in that day’s reading, we might say something like—“he took someone else’s wife, and acted like she was his own.”
