LEAP YEAR PLAN
For leap year, we are adding in what we call the “bonus day” on September 30. We will not have any scheduled reading or podcast recap for that day, but will just post the September Reflections. & Corrections episode. We’ll begin our reading and recapping again on October 1 with the start of the New Testament.
We’re not able to insert a “bonus day” within the reading plan on the Bible App. Therefore, you have a couple options for how to follow along well:
A. Bible App Plan + YouTube Videos
If you’re using the reading plan AND the embedded YouTube videos, you can continue as usual (there’s no “bonus day” within the reading plan) and you’ll finish on Dec 30, 2024. Hooray! You can use Dec 31 to invite friends/family and prepare to begin again on Jan 1!
B. Bible App Plan + Podcasts
If you’re using the reading plan and following along with the podcasts, you can choose to not go into the app on Sep 30, and just listen to the September R&C episode on your podcast platform. Then beginning again on Oct 1, when we start with the New Testament!
If you’re doing the reading plan alone, you can use the “Catch Me Up” feature and it will realign your days.
If you’re doing the reading plan with a group, this feature isn’t available so it will say you’ve “Missed 1 Day”, but we know this isn’t true! This is a function that we’re not able to change. On the bright side, it’s for 3 months rather than 9 months (if our “bonus day” was on Feb 29!).
You can find the “Leap Year Full Reading Plan” on the START page of our website (under #2). We have inserted a “bonus day” between Day 273 and Day 274 in the plan—which falls on September 30. Otherwise, you’ll follow along with each day’s assigned reading and corresponding podcast/video recap!
